230 PM Hou v. Austin (Northwood)

4.5

  1. Hou vs Austin wild should be a good one.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Doubt it. 4-1 or 5-0 for AW. Titans are overmatched against Sectionals talent.

    ReplyDelete
  3. true, titans are overmatched, but it should be a fun weekend for them

    ReplyDelete
  4. Can you please include the 3.5 here too???

    Thanks!!!

    ReplyDelete
  5. 3.5 is for retards!

    ReplyDelete
  6. You all are crazy. 7 Teaching Pros is a nice-to-have but all you need is the 3 best players in Dallas this weekend to win. NOHO takes it. Their young guns will rule the courts. Just wait!

    ReplyDelete
  7. 102 in Dallas Sat and Sun with not a cloud in the sky. Good luck guys.

    ReplyDelete
  8. The Hurricane 4.0 team has easily won the first 3 lines to come off in their 7 AM match.

    ReplyDelete
  9. They won 4-1, with Knutson/Shivers the only loss. Ellingsen and Halani solid in singles.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Houston 4.0 Canes beat Valley 4.0. Line 2 doubs (shivers/knutson) lost in 3 sets

    ReplyDelete
  11. Unfortunately, Lakeside is down to Lubbock 3-1 with Jim Wooten still on the court.

San Antonio has beaten Ft. Worth 3-2 in a battle of 4.0 heavyweights.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Joe Schaunaman managed to beat Jim Wooten. Lakeside down 4-1, which is crippling. Dallas was struggling with SE Tx in that flight as well.

    ReplyDelete
  13. htown, how's the weather, is it hot yet?

    ReplyDelete
  14. I didn't make the trip to Dallas...just getting texts, etc. from people there.

    ReplyDelete
  15. The forecast for Dallas has changed dramatically. 103 for Sat and Sun. For anyone who hasn't played Sectionals in August, that is brutal. Court temp will exceep 115.

    ReplyDelete
  16. noho vs san antonio will have some fireworks

    ReplyDelete
  17. Didn't hear if the team won, but I know Aadrian Hasker ran into the buzzsaw that is Scott Eddins this morning and lost.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Freeman's 4.0 team rolled again. Alex Ellinsen has been virtually untouchable thus far.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Lakeside has rebounded...up 3-0 against a decent Southeast Tx team. They still have a slim shot, but would be feeling better had they lost 3-2 instead of 4-1 this morning.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Omel Ruiz fights cramps to pull out 3rd set TB to put Lakeside ahead 4-0. A sweep is essential, I think. Lakeside is hoping that they will beat Dallas and Dallas will beat Lubbock.

    ReplyDelete
  21. greg any updates

    ReplyDelete
  22. Houston 5.0 lost to Ft. Worth 2-1. Lost a 3rd set breaker. First surprise in 4.5 too. San Antonio Wild beats Austin 3-2. Crapola.

    ReplyDelete
  23. NOHO Hurricanes beats Valley 4-1.

    ReplyDelete
  24. AS they should, Benzon got the whole Valley team DQ'ed.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Fort Worth looks good to beat Wild SA in 4.5 tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  26. That Austin team sucked. Why is San Antonio Wilds win a surprise?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Good showing Houston ;)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Anyone with half a brain knew the Houston 4.5 and 5.0 leagues were a total joke this year.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Houston took down valley team...could have very well been a different outcome....2 doubles matches were very competitive and could have gone either way....if valley had pulled those 2 out they would have won 3-2 ...even without all there dq's....I think sa will take Houston out tomorrow

    ReplyDelete
  30. Are you smoking crack 10:59?!?! The outcome of the Dibua/Burmann match was never in doubt other than the fact that your guys started hootin' and hollerin' everytime they'd hit a good shot. The Sumrall's match went 3 sets, but I think they became complacent after winning the 1st set 6-1. Kern/Vernon cruised at #2 in a quick match. Since you want to play the "if" game, then I will too. If Gururaj plays y'alls #1 singles guy y'all lose 5-0. If you lose the two tiebreaks in singles, then y'all lose 5-0. 4-1 seems like a moral victory for y'all.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Any predictions on the lineups for NOHO vs. San Antonio? Who wins each line? I heard Femi is not going.

    ReplyDelete
  32. San Antonio taking group 4

    ReplyDelete
  33. Who is this San Angelo team that just took at the Canes at 4.0?

    ReplyDelete
  34. how did Houston 4.5s do so far? where is all the smack talking from the douds crowd? my guess is they arent doing so well or we would have heard about it by now?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Douds team is 0-2
    Freeman's team is 1-1
    NOHO is 1-0

Freeman's 4.0 team just lost to San Angelo 2-3. Won the singles, lost all 3 lines of doubles.

    ReplyDelete
  36. figures why this board is so quiet..douds group sure shuts up pretty quick..looks like they sure are being put back in their place...too bad they cant play indoors up there..maybe then they would at least win one match

    ReplyDelete
  37. You all are pathetic.

    ReplyDelete
  38. 4.0 Houston out of playoffs with a 3-1 record.

4.0 Houston female undefeated at 3-0 with remaining pool play against NOHO (2-1)

4.5 Houston females through to semi-finals with a 3-0 record.

4.5 NOHO females at 1-1 with last match against 1st place team

4.5 Wild Houston females at 1-1

5.0 Houston and NOHO men both at 0-3

    ReplyDelete
  39. NOHO 5.0 is a joke team assembled by Benzon for one purpose, tanking to 4.5.

    ReplyDelete
  40. There is a ridiculous amount of 7-6 in the third matches in that NOHO 5.0 league. Things that make you go HMMMM.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Does anyone know the result of the 4.5 NoHo vs San Antonio

    ReplyDelete
  42. noho 4.5 just lost to san antonio 3-2. i guess the combination of taking the easy way to sectionals and trying to dq everyone they can was karma. btw, league players are generally more talented, but san anotonio has top, year round tournament players that are all equally talented.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Haskar is the only one who may get dropped. All of the other scores were competitive.

    ReplyDelete
  44. That match just finished. You're kidding. Didn't they get on the court at 11:30

    ReplyDelete
  45. Nice to see NOHO 4.5 go down.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Congrats to the San Antonio team. They showed a lot of mental toughness in the 3rd set tiebreakers. GOOD Job, and Good Luck the rest of the weekend.

    Team Noho

    ReplyDelete
  47. The Freeman dynasty has been squashed

    ReplyDelete
  48. NOHO sweeps doubles to beat SA last year. This year, SA returns the favor by sweeping doubles.
Bharath was better than advertised. Untouchable by anyone at sectionals. Karma bites back for having someone so far out of level.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Well to give you an idea of how out of level that guy was, according to Bobo, he beat Nanjappa in a practice match. Nanjappa went undefeated in 5.0 sectionals. Good to see that snake Benzon lose. Dwyer certainly will get on here and say the guy is just an ok 4.5 like Farzad Heidari.

    ReplyDelete
  50. No surprise NOHO dumps the next match 5-0. Doubtful that match was on the level at all.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Great to see freeman get it handed to him too. karma bit him and benson for all the tanking and farming guys back and forth between NOHO/houston and levels

    ReplyDelete
  52. Congrats to SA Miller for the victory today. They showed a lot of heart coming back from a set down in the final two lines of doubles to win. Well done!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Does anyone know the matchups for semifinals?
Do they reseed teams based on lines won? Most lines vs least lines?

    ReplyDelete
  54. noho is not respected by houston teams anyways. our real representative were titans and canesIII. that's good that ford played for the titans and ended the season strong. noho defintely needed his talent, but who wants to play for them.

    ReplyDelete
  55. yes, congrats to the real "teams" from houston .....

    ReplyDelete
  56. Hey Houston, maybe this should teach you boys to kick that Freeman joker back to DC. Looks like pasting together some "great" players does not a TEAM make!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  57. congrats to the "real" teams from houston?..what r u talking about...getting spanked and not even coming close to winning a match..great representation titans

    ReplyDelete
  58. I looked at Bharath's scores. Untouchable? He lost doubles with Red. Of course, people will fault Red for that.

He beat Luke Trautmann. So I wanted to see how good that guy was against other people. Why does his rating show as 5.5?

    ReplyDelete
  59. I hope SA beats Dallas tomorrow. That Michael Kelly on dallas has 'lil man's syndrome. He thinks he's all that, but it's his team, not him. Someone needs to knock his pube head out.

    ReplyDelete
  60. 4.0 Houston teams should have combined. I think the Hurricanes had the singles players and Lakeside had the doubles teams. To bad they could have formed a great team.

    ReplyDelete
  61. bharath untouchable? he went was 1-1, but that's cuz he's playing with red. did anyone think titans or canesIII will make an impact at sectionals? nope, but they competed all season and have bragging rights for the entire year.

where is sarosh? he has been a no show ever since januzzi beat him. did januzzi send him into retirement?

lakeside and canes 4.0 combined? dont think so. no one really wants to play for red or freeman

    ReplyDelete
  62. Houston 4.0 was missing Edward Scott, their #1 doubles player. If he was there, all the other lines would have fit better and the outcome would most likely have been different. Too bad - happens.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Bharath should have been a man and played with his mates from Houston, instead he pimped himself out to the Fat bitch boys and now he is sitting at home alone! See you losers next year, ha!

    ReplyDelete
  64. San Antonio will have their hands full with Dallas. It is not a walkover by no means. San Antonio has to split the singles to have a chance.

    Kelly vs Hildebrand
    Davis vs Trautman
Slezak/Williams vs White/Ewing (best match of the morning)
    Kiron/Huffman vs Arringdale/Anderson
    Frink/Underwood vs Vogl/Del Campo.

This is going to be an excellent match. Should be the finals for sure.

Waco vs Wild San Antonio in other semis.

    Predictions please??

    ReplyDelete
  65. SA wins 3-2! Waco wins 3-2 then SA beats Waco 4-1 to go on to Nationals!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  66. NOHO CHOKED!WE ALL SAW IT. NOHO LOOKED LIKE THE BETTER TEAM BUT TENSED UP. NEEDED ONE LINE AND HAD THE FIRST SET ON BOTH COURTS. DALLAS WILL BEAT SA 4-1 THEN BEAT THE OTHER SA 4-1 IN THE FINAL. BRANCH FINALLY WINS.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Good riddance to noho they ran crying back to Houston after they lost..n freeman is a lil bitch..get a life or a job...how do u have time to manage 4 teams...next time he does this bs I know the valley team isn't goin to take it Lying down they r crazy over there n they r all connected in some shady nonsense with border violence...so we shall see noho.! U cheat u lose ne ways

    ReplyDelete
  68. When did this become thug/gangsta tennis?

    ReplyDelete
  69. Obvious tank job by NoHo after losing to San Antone. Benzon already working on 2011.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Shut the F up. They were putting in players who hadn't played yet.

    ReplyDelete
  71. If you don't think Benzon and Freeman told them to tank you're on drugs.

    ReplyDelete
  72. wow 8:27 you truly think one of the tournament favorites actually did not tank when they lost 5-0 to Dallas and three matches were not even close.
    Do not make us laugh.

Also on Trautmann that had to be an error because he would not have even be eligible to play b/c he did not have 2 matches, figure it must be the dad and the entered wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Dallas vs San Antonio Wild in finals.

    ReplyDelete
  74. That's a shock. Not.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Dallas 3-1, on their way to Tucson.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Congrats Dallas. You were definitely the better team.

    Miller

    ReplyDelete
  77. Midland 4.5 women do it again. Ride the back of 2 young singles players and 1 good doubles line. Too bad Midland and Houston Hollis are on alternating years. I would love to see that match up. Though something tells me it wouldn't even be a contest. Hollis' 2010 team woud have kicked Midland to the curb. Texas 4.5 Women is turning into a Midland / Houston domination.

More important question is will Midland's girls be able to skip class and go to Nats. Maybe their parents can write them a note.

    ReplyDelete
  78. NOHO really showed what they are all about in that last match. What a disgrace. Does anyone on that team have any class?

    ReplyDelete
  79. Sectionals is over. It was a very hot weekend.
    Mens Open Winner- Houston
    Mens 5.5 Winner- FT Worth
    Mens 5.0 Winner- FT Worth
    Mens 4.5 Winner- Dallas
    Mens 4.0 Winner- TBD

Congrats to all the winning teams!!!

    ReplyDelete
  80. noho tanking 0-5 in their last match. don't think so. they were not as good as their trash talking. most of the top houston players don't play and refuse to play for benzon and freeman.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Congrats to Dallas for making it to Nationals and also to both San Antonio teams and Waco for making the final four.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Stil can't believe Austin Wild got edged out by Waco by 3 games to make the semis. That had to hurt AW-Davis and his team. They would have given more of a fight than Waco did. That's league tennis though. It comes down to matches, sets and in this case games.

    ReplyDelete
  83. The Lubbock 4.0 team must have been stacked. They beat San Angelo 5-0 in the finals. O U C H..

    ReplyDelete
  84. Lance Coleman the excollege player managed his scores wisely. He lost matches when his team already had a 3-0 lead. Hopefully, this is the last we will see of him. I am sure he will try to play his best in nationals and not hold back.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Our match with the Titans was closer than it looks on paper. They brought a good team to the dance. Kevin Lemke played phenomenal against Jim and Antoine played great tennis besting Torrez. The #1 doubles saw AW come from behind in both sets to win in straight, and the #2 doubles was a superbreaker that went our way. Congratulations to the Titans/Doud and company. They seemed like really nice guys that enjoyed playing together. Houston was represented well.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Nice of you to say. And phony also I suspect. Douds's team is nice, but just not very good. Three capable players and a bunch of low to mid 4.5s. If they were lucky to beat you then you need to ditch a lot of the guys on your team.

    ReplyDelete
  87. definitely sarcastic! jim and day are anything but! would be surprised if they called the lines right! guess it wouldnt have mattered if simon didnt since he got crushed

    ReplyDelete
  88. CONGRATS to Dallas! The Dallas vs. San Antonio (WILD) final was A LOT closer than it appears. Alan Torres/Sundy Muniz lost in a 3rd set tiebreak. "IF" that tie-break went the other way it would have been quite interesting as the ONLY 2 doubles teams in the final that have not dropped a set all tourney faced off. Mungia/Cambon and Kiron/Huffman were about to start their 3rd set tie-break which would have been the deciding match.

    ReplyDelete
  89. The Dallas blog is going back and forth with Lubbock players. It is funny stuff. The Lubbock players are getting all bent out of shape. They are getting what they deserve though, big time cheats. Check it out.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Torres/Muniz lost in 2nd set Tiebreaker NOT 3rd set Tiebreaker. If Team Torres had a singles player it would have made things interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Lubbock is a group of sandbagging scumbags. Mcree is a loser and one of the biggest hypocrites in Texas. Mcree is bragging on behalf of the Lubbock team about how bad they beat Lakeside and others they played, a very classy way to finish off sectionals. Lakeside I know you did not stand a chance but at least you tried the right way. Lubbock cannot say that. Let's hope that Mcree stays off our blog, he will be torn apart.
