The next WTT event will be held January 21st/22nd at the Copperfield Racquet & Health Club. On January 21st the 3.0 and 4.0 levels will participate and on January 22nd the 3.5 and 4.5 levels will participate. Winners of each group will have the opportunity to compete in Sectionals February 18-20 and winners from the event will participate in the National Championships in Indian Wells, CA in early November! In order to participate, just go to www.wtt.com and search for the Houston event under Recreational events. You may register as a player that needs to be placed on a team or get a team together yourself! The rules and details are on the website as well. You need a minimum of 2 males and 2 females to form a team. The format is as follows: one set of men's and women's doubles, one set of men's and women's singles and 2 courts of one set each of mixed doubles. You will play a total of three matches. ReplyDeleteSince there is no longer a tournament blog, I will ask this question here. How well do you have to do at a certain level in tournaments only (no league play) to be at risk of getting bumped up to the next level?
ReplyDeleteprobably not an issue. I see someone who is rated #4 in singles and still has the same rating as last year.
DeleteOr to be more specific, if you finally got bumped down a level, how well can you do at that level before you are at risk of being bumped back up?
