Brackets are out.
Both the 4.0 and 4.5 brackets have been released. At first glance it appears they have done a good job with them. Of course, the strength of the teams is still subject to change but I think the brackets look fairly balanced in both 4.0 and 4.5. Discuss.

4.5...why is there 9 teams on flight 1 and only 5 teams for flight 2 & 3
ReplyDelete4.5 teams in the city playoffs:
ReplyDeleteflight1: GTAC and Lakeside
flight2: Blacksheep and NWO
flight3: Hurricanes and Copperfield
flight1: should be a battle between gtac, lakeside, and duecebags. duecebags lack singles.
flight2: nwo is the strongest so far. however, hurricanes still have to fill their roster but that would only bump the blacksheeps out.
flight3: cakewalk in the city for hurricanes and copperfield. no other teams that can compete for the spot
Any predictions for 4.0 city playoffs?
ReplyDeleteThe divisions are uneven so that everyone can get 8 matches in. Teams in D1 will play each other once and those in 2 and 3 will play each other twice.

A slang term used to describe play that is of minor league or unprofessional quality. The "bushes" or the "sticks" are small towns where minor league teams may operate, the latter term also used in the acting profession, famously in the Variety headline of July 17, 1935, "Sticks nix hix pix", meaning small towns reject motion pictures about small towns.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to recant my statement about not showing up to play. New info. My apologies.
ReplyDeleteI thought it referred to mixed doubles female players... thanks One-oh.

Sienna sucks and their 4.5 team sucks even more. Why are we talking about them again this year?
ReplyDeleteI think the guys who are getting excited about tennis in this blog site are bush players, have something to prove and really the GOOD players stay quite and not get involve and the BUSH players are all over this site...guess you guys feel like talking about other players makes you feel good since you were probably picked on by other dominant figure all the time..
