Everyone should consider online leagues rather than HTA for spring/fall. The level of competition and # of players has increased pretty nicely recently:

Fee's there are inline with HTA's old fee's, plus you can win things like gift cards and shoes!
For summer you can't be the USTA's level of competition.

ReplyDeleteThey made it to the Finals, lost 2-1. Pretty good showing.
ReplyDeleteCan we get a preview of 4.0, 4.5 for next years. Seasons within a month now. Being a 4.0 player it think its opened up a lot since last year. I feel that the unicorns and hurricanes both lost there ringers.

DeleteNot many people have registered. It's pretty hard to give a preview before seeing who registers for each team and what the divisions look like.
DeleteIts because no one cares. The same thing happens every year. Instead of a preview here's the entire story of this season. 4.0/4.5 Hurricanes win city. 4.0/4.5 Hurricane's win sectionals. 4.0/4.5 Hurricanes lose in nationals. None of them get bumped up. Good job guys. The end.

DeleteYou forgot that the season before last Hurricane team is able to get back together. Every othe year Hurricane teams. Bumpups move back down and the players can come back together.
DeleteIdiotic as usual. Every year all of the Hurricane 4.0 players get bumped up. It doesn't matter. Freeman reloads.
DeleteAnd the following year most find their way back down. He has an odd/even years of core players.

DeleteHurricanes, unicorn and ace king will have to battle it out this year. They will beat up each other and only one will move forward to playoffs. HTA is making it wide open for second place teams in other division
DeleteHonestly the unicorns and hurricanes will get out of this division and one will win and the other get the wildcard. Hta may have done both a favor as this pretty much guarantees that they will be in opposite ends of the draw come playoff as these teams were both top four in the state last year if not top two. Rough sledding for 4.0 this year.

ReplyDeleteThat is pretty funny. Those Houston pimps don't play nice was a nice touch. He's have to rewrite the whole thing and give it to Jason if he wrote here. We need some new writing around here. Surely there is something to talk about; I am so excited about the season starting again.

ReplyDelete4.0 Div 1: Lakeside, maybe Copperfield S&A depending on who else signs up

4.0 Div 3: Pretty irrelevant, but Thors or HRC
4.0 Div 4: Also pretty irrelevant, but Good Guys
4.0 Div 4: Ace N Spinners
4.0 Div 5: now this one is real interesting. I’m picking Chancellors based on rosters I see so far. But Freeman always has something up his sleeve that he’ll show us around 5:00 Thursday, and then something more he’ll show us 2 matches before the end of the season.
If this is all Freeman has, sure but why am I certain he has a couple of former Superchamps that are coming.
