  1. Haven't looked at it yet, but it probably includes only self-rates and those players whose ratings have changed.

  2. Time for NumbersGuy to do his magic and tell us some of the prominent bump ups and downs.

I saw names of players whose rating were not self-rated or did not change. Anyone have an insight to what this means?

    lacy 5.0
    moser 5.0
    hess 4.5

  4. Non-Self rates - yes, MYR applies to computer rated players too. No change means they had a computer rating but they were a T, M, or A.

  10. See if this link works for the file Numbers Guy put together:

If it does not work, LMK and I will try something else.

  11. Nice to see Computer finally placed Dibua, Sumrall, Locke, Eddins, and Omana at their proper levels.

  12. Time to start recruiting

  13. Don't waste your time. MYR is meaningless

  14. I think Anon 1:36 means time to start tanking for the fall.

  15. fall results to factor into 2010 YER

    ReplyDelete
  16. meant to say Fall results do NOT factor into 2010 YER. At least not for this year. I believe the HTA is working on counting them for future years.

  17. Locke is still not at his appropriate rating of 5.5

  18. Other 5.0 bump downs to 4.5: Pumma, Tam, Pyle, Blevins, & Doucette. 3 guys have played for Westside Ristau 5.0, so they will be pick-ups next year for Ristau's 4.5 Team. Pumma & Tam were on the 4.5 National Team last year.

  19. Pumma should get bumped down. He get embarrassed with his push game at 5.0. He couldn't even win big singles matches at 4.5.

  20. How did Hai Vu get bumped up. He has no serves or returns.

    ReplyDelete
  21. LOL, the computer doesn't care about serves or returns. Look up his record, all Hai does is win!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Pumma is not conditioned to win with his game in the sun. Even Phi wore him down. The outfits can't help. That guy must have a screw loose.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Ward got bumped to 5.5.

Wait, that was in his own mind.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Pumma should be 4.5.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Way to go Greg Dwyer and Danny Vu you lost enough matches on purpose to get bumped back down. Danny Vu and Greg Dwyer should be able to dominate next year in 4.0s. Now remember next year make sure you lose the unimportant matches and the ones you want to win keep the score close.

  26. Is this cheating losing matches on purpose? or is this within the rules?

  27. Ok, here's the deal: Greg runs this blog out of the kindness of his heart. We all enjoy reading it.

No one knows the true state of Greg's game. So, let's layoff of the griping about Greg. Maybe he tanked, maybe he was hurt, maybe he didn't care.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I don't care, and there are bigger and better things to talk about.

    ReplyDelete
  29. As proven by Hess, there is an easier way to get a new rating. Get a new USTA membership under another name and self rate yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Dwyer isn't half the player he used to be. Maybe he was tanking but he definately walks with a limp and doesn't run fast any more.

  31. Everyone gets older, even the thin guys!

  32. Some good tennis out at lee leclear last night. Some strong 4.0 players in the dubs. Singles didn't look as competitive as last year.

Lakeside and Hurricanes are surely the favorites to advance.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Chris, can you do the same thing above for the women?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Thanks NG. I can always judge someone's level of excel use when they ask for something and the reply is 'dude, look at the second tab..."

From high atop the seat of judgement, yours truly....

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yeah, nothing like kicking a person when they're already down, Chris.

  36. Can anyone figure this one out?

One of Team Miller's Top players Eric White had 2 ratings in 2009? Thought this was interesting.

How does this guy manage to have 2 ratings in one year? A 4.0 and a 5.0?

    AR Hacker pls help?
