Also, in conjunction with the match, the Met runs the "Alumni Challenge" doubles tournament. The Championship division features elite/professional players like Tommy Ho, Graydon Oliver, Jack Brasington, the Barker twins and many others. Play in the Championship division will begin immediately prior to the Aggie-Longhorn match. There are other divisions of play and several 4.5 league players have already entered the A division. Anyone interested in playing can contact Keith Christman at 713-652-0700.
Hook 'em!
Looks like another rain out tonight. Gotta love this cold and wet weather.
ReplyDeleteMatches are on at Lee LeClear.
ReplyDeleteremember the tie-breaker between sarosh and miguel last year. what a classic.
ReplyDeleteSo UT beat ATM 4-3. There was some impressive tennis out at the Met this evening.
ReplyDeleteWho won the tournament at the Met? Inquiring minds would like to know.
ReplyDeleteMichael Le Tan and Odion Dibua won their division
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Mike and Odion!!! I heard Barker/Rob Collins won the Open Division.
ReplyDeleteAny other 4.5 or 5.0 league players fair well at the Met Tournament?
ReplyDeleteI heard Craig Bobo and Greg Jones looked good.
ReplyDeleteTri level Sectionals is this upcoming weekend. How will the Hurricanes match up with the other teams around the state???
ReplyDeleteTwo team race.. Houston and Dallas. All the other teams are garbage. Dallas has the easiest bracket I have ever seen. College Station and Southeast, really? Houston vs. Dallas in finals with Houston winning 2-1.
ReplyDeleteZZZZZZZZ Is summer here yet?
ReplyDeletethe duecebags lost again. definitely not ready for the summer primetime. who's going to step up for them in dubs? who's going to replace them in singles? looks like the canes are a force in dubs, but how about singles? is odion playing as well as omon? i don't think so. i can't wait to see who makes the line up for the hurricane a and b team. what happened to kingwood? are they going to have a team? if not, who's going to scoop their troops?
ReplyDeletecan't put ANY stock in the HTA spring season IMO. I think duecebags will be good again for summer. doesn't look like the league will be quite as top heavy with one or two dominant teams like in years past. Hurricanes will of course be very strong as usual.
ReplyDeletelooks like they got a good win last night.
ReplyDeletesienna 4.5 boys are losing their shirt in the BIG boy league ... go get some lessons ! hahaha
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the entire Houston Tri-Level Team. You guys played great and deserved the win. Good Luck at National and win one for Texas.
